Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions before onboarding

Astra is your AI-powered partner for Amazon PPC success. Navigating Amazon's complex advertising landscape can be overwhelming, especially without deep marketing expertise. That’s where we come in.

With Astra, you get to focus on the big picture: crafting your winning Amazon strategy. The AI then acts following your instructions: create ad campaigns, collect all relevant keywords, adjust bids on a daily basis, protect your brand from the competition, and show you the results on an easy-understanding dashboard. In other words, cut the operations, and just think about how to sell on Amazon and most of all, how to become the best seller in your market.

Now, let's jump to some common questions our customers often ask:

  • The AI is handling keywords extraction and optimization, campaigns creation, and bid optimization for every single keyword and ASIN

  • No, Astra will create new campaigns but will use all the data from existing and past campaigns.

  • No, it is not mandatory. The tool is doing the keyword extraction and will be using your past data. For manual input, you can do it through Seeds or Tactics.

  • This depends on the size and the spending to be managed, you should expect 4 weeks on average. The algorithm learns from your historical campaigns. An ideal scenario is when you create one campaign per product or a single campaign with one Ad Group per product.

The Astra AI will learn faster with ASINs driving a significant number of conversions. Basically, the more conversions, the faster the learning process.

  • This is hard to tell. It depends on the level of optimization of existing campaigns and on the strategies that will be created in Astra. On average, you can expect +25% to 50% profitability.

  • Yes, we recommend at least $ 1.000 in ad spend per month.

  • From the Astra registration to having Astra campaigns running in the advertising console, it takes up to 24 hours.

  • Your campaigns are optimized daily, meaning that the technology selects and updates keywords and computes bids for you, every day. For further understanding, you can study our Campaign structure for strategies and tactics.

  • The Astra onboarding process includes at least 1 setup call where we help translate your needs into Astra strategies. You will be designing your strategy and Astra will provide the perfect tool to put in place and operate it.

  • No, unfortunately, we only offer support and onboarding calls.

  • Sponsored Product, Sponsored Brand (brand store, product landing page, and videos), and Sponsored Display. DSP can't be optimized yet by Astra.

  • Yes, it does on one condition: One ad group in your campaigns contains only a child ASIN under the same parent ASIN ( if the ASIN doesn't have a parent ASIN, it should be alone in the ad group).

If the rule isn't followed, we won't be able to re-match the search terms to the right parent ASIN and learn from it. We might lose data

  • Yes, we support KDP advertising.

  • US, CA, MX, DE, UK, IT, FR, BE, ES, JP, SE, NL, IN, AU, AE, PL.

  • The cost is broken down into a fixed subscription fee, and a variable one depending on your advertising spend. For more information, visit our pricing page.

  • Just send us an email at least 1 day before the anniversary of your subscription :)

  • The tool will stop optimizing the bids per day and the bids will be set to be at very low values. Also, the tool will erase all the data generated by the algorithm.

Common questions after onboarding

  • It is possible to specify a target daily budget for every strategy, more details are here.

  • At least 2 weeks after the launch. ACOS target adjustments should be small and you should at least wait for one week to change the ACOS target again.

  • Yes, all your existing campaigns promoting the products that are promoted in strategies should be paused. We recommend doing it when your strategies' campaigns are visible on the Amazon advertising console.

  • When you create a strategy, change the default algorithm you are working with to "Force Product Visibility". And set a bid that will apply to all your keywords.

  • When you create a strategy, associated campaigns are created in the Amazon Advertising Console within the next 24 hours. This logic also applies to any change that being made to your existing strategies.

  • The algorithm increases or decreases the budget allowance every day, based on the historical spending data of each campaign. Here are more details.

  • The algorithm manages PPC across all the countries but will need some data to start from. You should be creating manually some campaigns to generate a minimum of 20 sponsored sales before activating a strategy.

  • Mainly because of low bids, which are the result of a low ACOS target.

  • It can be based on product lifecycle, margin, or category. More details here.

  • No, it can disturb the machine learning process. Moreover, changes made manually on the Amazon advertising console will be overwritten the next day by our algorithm.

  • Sponsored brand strategies' campaign needs to be approved manually by Amazon before running. If one of your Sponsores Brand campaigns is not approved by Amazon, the algorithm will re-push automatically the same campaign until its finally approved.

  • All the lists of keywords received by email are also available in the Amazon API and are automatically added to our campaigns.

  • No, you should not change the name of the Astra-generated campaigns, otherwise, the tool will not recognize the campaign as one of its own and it will stop optimizing the campaign.

  • You can not change it using the dashboard. To change the billing owner of an account, the current billing owner needs to mail us with the required information (Name, Email Id, Contact number) of the new billing owner. Then we will change it for you from the backend.
